Gareth returned to the UK in 2007 after 20 years living and working abroad. The Innovation & Strategy group is a new grouping which mixes policy, research and local development with the latest CISCO technological solutions. The group includes the new 4 CISCO Scholars announced by the Prime Minister on Nov. 10th from UCL and Imperial and the National Virtual Incubator Programme.

Gareth previously worked in Cabinet Office as an Assistant Director In Civil Contingencies Secretariat and oversaw the critical resilience of economic regulated sectors and producing elements of the National Security.   Previous to his return to the UK, Gareth worked for the European Commission in DG INFSO and supporting DG REGEO, DG AIDCO and DG MARKT.  He spent 9 years at Hewlett-Packard in Managed Services and finished his time as Director for Local and Regional Government EMEA.  He studied at Brigham Young University, University of Glasgow, Grenoble University and Moscow State University.
